Livescores football Sergio Perez: We are very lucky with the arrival of Ricciardo - he will be able to help especially during the race weekends

Red Bull driver Sergio Perez said that he was glad that Daniel Ricciardo had joined the team.

According to Perez, Ricciardo`s help during the Grand Prix will be especially valuable for the team:

We were very lucky with the arrival of Daniel. Especially given his experience - working with engineers at the team base, he will have a great understanding of what we (the drivers) are actually talking about in the context of working with the car. It`s great to have such a person on the team - he will be able to help especially during the race weekends.

Perez also dismissed the fact that some see Ricciardo as a rival for the Mexican in the fight for the Red Bull driver`s seat:

No. When you compete for Red Bull, you must demonstrate the highest possible level. And it doesn`t matter if Daniel is on the team or not. Red Bull, if desired, can get more or less any Formula 1 driver.
